We did record an episode after Henry won San Antonio, but unfortunately my audio was, uh, I don't know, it just didn't get picked up. I, I, I stand by. It wasn't my fault, but I'm not really sure. Well, remember a lot of you guys, that same thing happened after I'm on Baltimore, but it's all good. And it was the exact same issue with the Bond's audio, so we had ample time to fix it, but No worries, no worries. I'll actually just, I know, but we like recorded many successful podcasts between them. So like, it was like, I don't know what to say. Like, I hope this one like actually gets recorded, but like, uh, a lot of people came up to me and said like, why no podcasts like at EIC and at, um, at Bank. So, You know, I'm like really touched. I didn't actually know anyone cared about this podcast. So, uh, sorry about that guys. And even and so bad.'cause in our New Year's episode, we promised to be more consistent and we actually were the least consistent we've ever been in our entire lives. So, I mean, it's obviously we can just go ahead and blame Lame here. All good, bro. All right. The time, the time zone thing is a little, a bit of an issue, but I think that, yeah. Well, I don't know if we really had that, A valid excuse considering lamb pretty much lives in the American Times. yeah. I think one like really interesting event in particular. Yeah. Let's just start off Vancouver Regional championships guys, do we want to, because I think a lot of people are curious about the EUIC, like the Gogo room. Like how did like Henry Chow play Ang is the most recent? Well, I mean, I think a lot of people already, like, if they wanted to know about it, I think like refu has like talked about it, but like we, we can go through it real quick and I'm obviously gold is like still relevant to Vancouver. Um, yeah, sure. I think I'm saying like, we have, like, we didn't actually write an agenda at all for this episode guys, but I think like those are like the two key points. Vancouver, regionals and EIC. So like the events I cashed essentially are like the ones we should talk about. I'm down for that. Great job. I congrats on you. That's fine. Okay. So coming off of the San Antonio Regional Championships, which I managed to emerge victorious at, we uh, we got this new set called Evolutions with the buddy card. Kind of changed the medal a little bit and uh, I was practicing a guard and Livo were practicing a PI deck for like. Two or three weeks before UIC and we were both like fairly confident in it. But then the moment we got into Brad's room the day before, he like showed us the skull Dango deck that pretty much had favorites into the top five decks of the meta. So it seemed pretty good and it, it's not like super skill intensive, so we just kind of like decided to lock it in. Right. It seemed like a, I think the other problem, that room was like all like, no bro, it was like there propaganda in that room. Like on the wall. Yeah. There were like these posters of like, play thingo bro. Like, oh my God. Not just that though, it was like almost every serious North American player other than like Drake's friend group was in that room. So that was like 15 people and I thought, like at the time we didn't, we didn't have the Badoo technology. I'm not sure if Liam knew, but like I definitely didn't know that in Piot, like you could just play one Badoo and the golden match is like completely solved. So like I thought like, I'm not gonna play Cornerstone, and I wasn't even sure if that would work. So I just, uh. I just gave up. I was like, I'm not gonna play piggy eye until like fif, like I'm gonna hit one of these guys. And I ended up hitting Victor who was playing the deck. So like, I was kind of right that it's, it was too scary to play. Um. Goo They were at every single possible bracket level as it turned out. Yep. Just based on the red eye. I managed to, uh, you know, keep it towards the bottom of the bracket, just in case any flipping just for full coverage. Yeah. Of course. We needed someone at bracket get the people at X to one Yeah. Just to ruin people's dreams of making, no matter how many losses or wins you had, there was a chance you hit one of the golden groups. So it was like very scary. To play. Yeah. Something that, that at the time I thought like, had a very tough matchup. I, I actually think without Badu, uh, I was playing a really good s Chen and like, I thought that actually there was like more counterly than I realized, like the, the Istic Luxate package, like it can get you so far. It's just that I didn't have the like, extra push of like, uh, Badu at the end. So I was trying to like use Theistic Luxate to buy time to flew out like some guy, but it was pretty, SC sketch was all you can do. Like if you can get like two ses at some point, you can usually win. Right. Yeah. I like found out about this, like the promote the promote bear and having like a l on the bench with charm or something. It's like you can just like sometimes win by like asking them, can you even kill this guy twice? Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's like, but, but I mean, the, the matchup is like, it's not, it's not comfortable at all when, when you're like, you have to resort to that. Right? Yeah, of course. So yeah, that was like the story of Guango, I think. Uh, my li yeah, my turnaround was like, it was actually so fucked. I, uh, I beat a raging ball round one, which is like, dude, like all these like, cap sales is like a super good matchup. Like, dude, even with the Arch Pro, like I, I don't know if I was just like drawing that or something. Like, dude getting turn two Golda is like so hard for this deck. It felt like, um, so that, that sounds like I think you massively low rolled. I've heard so much of Henry's stories about this event, and I, I, like, I was thinking about my own experience with Guango and like a lot of the other people, like, I think Henry just like really low rolled. I don't really say that very often. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not sure I, because it felt like, like it was like a reasonable sample size. Like, I don't like six rounds. Like I was attacking through two, like less than half of'em. I'm like, I don't, I don't really know how, how that fits in with y'all's. But yeah, I beat Arag Bolt. Then I got like, get just kind of like fucked me up on stream and did 2, 2, 2, which like, I didn't even like know was possible. Like Brad had just kind of told me the day before that like, yeah, that shit doesn't happen. But he actually did it to me. Um, and it was like, I mean he drew pretty good, um, but it wasn't like completely unreasonable. Uh, and then I just missed Golden Dingo game three. Then I lost dude round three. Round three was like the most bullshit one where I hit a fucking to kiss Golden Go. And then he flipped heads on me, two games in a row on the very last turn off, one flip. So that was bullshit. And then I beat, I don't even remember what I beat, but then I lost to a cloth. So yeah, not very lit. Kind of like got punished. I like probably should've played Guardi, but in like hindsight, oh yeah, I'm sorry for you Henry, bro. God Yeah, it was pretty bad. I like, I don't have like that much regret in playing Guango. It's like it's bad for my brand. Right. But in terms of the ev, I think like Plano. Yeah, exactly bro. Like they, so somebody like has to lose with this Guango deck, right? Like it's not, you have to sacrifice someone to get Xandr and top four and like as many people as we did in 64 and three, two. Yeah. Yeah. Unfortunately Henry, we drew straws and we chose you Yeah. Like our main open question is like whether goo. Like outperformed expectation based on like who the players who were playing it. Right. I'm not sure about that. I think it's like close, right? Like about what you'd expect considering all the people who played it. I agree. Mm-hmm And then Liam, do you wanna talk about your run at all or do you wanna just keep it pushing? It's fine. Um, sure. Yeah. I, uh, I dunked on a bunch of stuff. I lost her cough. I tied two snx and what was the other deck I lost to? Hmm. Oh, I lost some ride on. I like missed Dango turn two. Like I got doned one game and then I missed Dango turn two in the other. Yeah. Oh, I actually didn't even hear about that. Okay. Yeah, that sounds alright. Uh, I like briefly talked about my run. I went 1 1 1 into lost box. I thought hitting three loss boxes was pretty egregious. My first lost opponent. Didn't know that you're not allowed to cram it. Like you're literally never allowed to cram it and leave damage on the board because then I would just like switch that KO and just like Use it to as like p like Pikachu breaking with Monkey Dory, the whole game. So that game went really long, but I didn't expect my opponent just randomly, like, there was like no reason for it. So I didn't actually expect it to happen. So I was, the game had too much time to finish and then he won on like turn three of time game two. So I, it was one, one tie. I lost to her money and her money's like the actual goat of lost box. Like, well, I don't know about that. I like, haven't really thought about this very in depth, but I would say he's like definitely top three lost boxes in the world. Like you can just, and he like told me, like apparently he like tested like IA I guess. But he told me he tested the matchup and he was like very confident and like The way he was talking while he was playing me, he like did not care. He was just like, I can do whatever I want. And like he just, he knew exactly like the limits of like what was allowed. He literally did not play a single chorus against me.'cause he, like, poke stopped them away. And then one time he made a really mature, like he lost on away chorus and like, I'm sure it was correct given that like, he had just, he had like per amount of resources and stuff that, like the chorus probably wasn't even necessary. So I could just tell from like our, our, like the one game that we played. Like, he doned me game two by the way. I just had two, two games. He just turned one, turned one shirt into me. Wait. Really? Oh, I didn't even know about that. What the heck? Yeah, but I knew was like screwed him out. Yeah. I didn't ca I was low key, like when he was doing it and he poke, hopped in a vacuum, I was like, please tell me you have, and he goes, yes, off this chorus. If I have a switch, I have it. I was like, he was like flipping them over for me. Like harmani, if I played on like LA high, high ladder before and like. We, it was like pretty cool. Like I was talking to him about, like, we were literally talking about our ladder games and just like, literally just chatting while he was just owning me. It was pretty, it was a pretty fun experience actually. I like, I enjoyed that one. And then I beat a Cornerstone LAX because game two, I dunked him and game three, he took five prize cards. And like, I actually do like really pretty consistently stopped my punnet from dpl, but he took six cards off sisters and I had no clue. Like, he literally just picks up, he was super handsy with my cards, which I don't really care. Like, I, I don't mean to complain, like I really like people. I, I do sell other people's cards all the time, so like, I have like, definitely don't wanna throw stones from like a glass house, but like, he, he insisted on like Sisters Inc. For himself. And he also insisted on like. like fluting for himself too. And I was like, yeah, I don't care. And then like he picked up my deck, dealt six cards. I like, didn't notice. And then he was like flipping through the cards like a lot. And then I was like, that just looks like too many cards. Like how many is that And then it's, and then it was six and he'd already fed me five prizes, but he had lone cornerstone. I had House to win though. I could have, uh, I could have done some tricks with just the gimme Go attack because you have to find something to Penny into. And I, I think he didn't play Mimic you or like it was prized or, or something weird. I wasn't really sure, but like, I think I might have got him, but my deck might've been just slightly too low. I'm not really sure who was gonna win. But after he did that, obviously I won instantly. And then my one lost loss win is like, I think the only round of the tournament. I actually did. Anything cool. I like, um, game one, I just doned him. And then game two, uh, I used Mind Bend to break his Pikachu and then he didn't have the double switch card, double switching effect. And he played jolty and he put way too many energies on his first Pikachu that I mind mended. And then he used, he used the super, he lost on a super rod turned one, he used the super rod to use the jolt attack. And then after I killed the Pikachu that had damage left on it, I, um, I just, he super ratted one more time. And so he had one super rod left, but he was literally out of energies completely. So I just toured my last dango and left my board as, um, as Monkey Dory. And a, um, it was, yeah, it was like Monkey Dory on the act in the active and like one gimme on the bench. And I just passed. And he had literally exactly three energies he lost on cram and he had lost on Bear. Bear. Didn't really matter, I don't think, because, uh, he only had, I only had taken two prizes at this point just to kill the Pikachu. So he actually nest ball for hands and then counted his resources and realized he didn't have enough energies to, to play the game. Like he could have attacked with hands for arm press for one prize. But then I was just gonna use, uh, dango, kill the, kill the Hands, and I just win the game. So he just scooped it up. So I two owe him and then I lost. I don't understand how you lost it situation and. He lost him cram like turn one. Yeah. But like his turn one must have been basic in the back of your mind, like the entire game. If you had to lost him, cram that like Yeah, I, I mean obviously he, yeah, I obviously it's true. Yeah. Yeah. Like yeah, there's everything to like, I think, well, I think it's reasonable'cause her money lost some cram instantly because her money just knew and her money did attack, attach extra energies. Yeah. I don't have a problem with, but it's like. If you're gonna lost on, you have to make sure you're playing airtight, right? No, I think the biggest egregious on is loss. Super odd. Like it loss the first super rod and then super odding to use your jolt tick was just like way too much stuff. Like I, I don't even know. It's possible. Like I think he must have had a very like Ani s decision where like he probably had super rod and ris and just like, he like lost one brain, just like grabbed the chorus when you don't need any of that. Well I mean like, I think like all these decisions are fine, right? It's just that when you make all of them together and it blows up, right? Yeah. Yeah. And then game round, like one of my last rounds I was 9 1 1 I lost to a cloth where game one I dunked them game two, they chose second and then they like never let up the badu and like they just kept Badu poison killing stuff and I just like completely fell over, which is how you're supposed to play the matchup. Well you could kind of, you know, once you were winning on the prize trade you can just get'em with the tro, like that's fine. Yeah. But they were so adherent to the principal that like when they could have decided to win for the prize trade and uh, they like still Badu, so I knew. And I thought like it's better to be on that side of the spectrum than the side where you don't beew enough and just try to win from pressure from the get go. So like I thought that this opponent was like way too competent, so I was like not gonna choose first. Like if I thought my claw on was like kind of not really sure what was going on. I could have chose first and like got away with it. But I knew that if I chose first I was getting beew, I was gonna lose. So I just decided to choose second game new. Yeah. And started, yeah, they just started baby pack rent and had the bonnet don like instantly and I started load game, so I just lost, like I lost the, we played a three game, seven, 15 minutes. It was brutal. Wait, how did you get'em? Game one. They literally went like, I went first and I drew past going second. And, I don't know, pretty lit. Pretty lit. Okay. Yeah. Great. Set all around. Yeah. Really fun set. And then I guess a, yeah, actually, does the baby Dan go fix it? Like, well, not fix, like it makes it like playable, right? Like you, the spirit team helps a lot as well. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. The team is really helpful. Like their deck is not very good when you don't have to, when when tombs in play, they're like Lucia esque, like people don't talk about how much cloth like, struggles under tomb. It's like, well, like the deck already struggles enough so they can't really tell that it's like struggling even more Right? I agree with this. I, but anyways, um, the last time I played against Alucia and if it was I win, I make 5K, I make 16. I was gonna, I had God resistance if I lose no money and if I tie it's 2K. And uh, I definitely made some mistakes. That said I wasn't very proud of Lu game matchup and like I have a lot of regret for how I played it. I, me the second gimme when I didn't need to and I got they boss water upon me. I. And then at the end I cyber stacked a boss to my deck. And I needed, like, they had a guy with legacy active or, or something like that. Or maybe they had jino active. I don't really remember exactly what happened, but essentially I needed boss to kill a two Prizer on the bench with no legacy or boss and one SCRI had three in my deck and I just like, um, I just crumbled. I just didn't find the SER off, like f plus Ninja plus, uh, Danko. But I needed a little more, like once I used Ninja, I need one SER wasn't enough. I think, well, actually I drew like enough raw energies. You an NCR stretcher or some shit? No, no. I drew enough raw energies off the first five cards that I think the ninja was fine, but I'm just saying that like if I knew I had the ninja, SER wouldn't have been enough. But I did draw the other conditionals, like it was so painful too.'cause off the last draw I drew double ciphers, which, oh wait, I guess ciphers didn't matter because I, I needed to boss. Nevermind. But I do remember drawing ciphers and thinking, oh, well I had like nothing I could even do.'cause I, yeah. Anyways, so ended up nine, uh, 9 1 2 I guess, or 13 or yeah, 9 1 2. So whatever. Yeah. Or ten one. No, I don't remember. Yeah. Probably ten one two. Did I really win 10 rounds? No, no. I went 9 1 2, that's for sure. Well, that, wait, no add up, but it's probably 9, 2, 2. Did I lose twice? Oh, I lost her money and I lost the clock. 9, 2, 2. That was my final That checks out. That out. I knew I didn't have 10 wins. That's all I remembered for sure. Yeah. Then you would've been in fracking then. I'd been really chilly. I've making a lot of money. Yeah. But anyways, yeah, I think that was my, uh, oh. You know, not, not the best performance from us, but it's all good. You feel like a side character, like when you're playing Dango, like you, you just try to do as best as you can on your own. But like you're, like, once the prize trade's losing, like there's no io there's nothing like, I think the Roxanne's an all right edition. I, I don't actually like, love the Roxanne. Yeah, you the Roxanne. It's, I, yeah. I, I thought this new list was like way better at the baby dangos. Of course, I, I wouldn't play it without the mirror consideration, but like, I. I like it a lot. The baby Dan and the tomb are like way more important. I don't know, I think the Roxanne is like, the rock is good, dude. I wouldn't want me like, well I still want the gang guard. I might be more down for the gang guard than the baby Dango. But I don't know if that's like troll. But dude, I think the gang is the cornerstone. The cornerstone considerations. Oh, I see. Does Baby Dango? Baby Dango does a lot. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. It Well when you have the tomb as well, right? Like the, the Baby Dangle plus the Tomb Henry, there's so many spots where you're like, like at the end where if you could just like go like hit 50, evolve, hit one 20, like shuffle in, hit a hundred into After you Penny into mimic you like you'd win, right? Yeah. But like you can't do that. So I think the Baby Dango definitely does help enough against like very straightforward cornerstone strategies. If they have like more intricacy, like they have like, I dunno, like sometimes like there's like other factors that you have to worry about. Then they can like transition to a different plant. But just like pure channel cornerstone Wall, you doesn't really work against the The baby dango. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty. But anyways, I think that's our USCI was crashing out after I lost, but uh, honestly, it's back, dude. It was actually horrible. I, yeah, like we're never doing that shit again.'cause like, we wanna be in control of our destiny. But, uh, you were, yeah, that was the one, that was the one thing we were sure of. I felt like after, uh, after EIC, like we didn't really have a concrete reason, but I think me and Liam, we both knew that like, or I guess Henry too. Like, well I was the only one who had a, who was gonna Vancouver, but I knew for a fact I was not playing Dan go to Vancouver. Yeah. Just'cause like there's no reason to, I think Like, I just got swept up in the whole like, oh, my deck is trash. Like, I think, I think we were all like a little scared and then like, you know, Brad, Brad was out here like offering us all like the solution and it was like, you know, yeah, we'll just, just put our faith in him for this one. Yeah. I mean, I, I wasn't very confident in my god red deck. And you guys weren't that confident in your P deck? Yeah, exactly. Yeah. We more confident we would've stayed strong. Also, his decorat by, I mean, after that event though, the badoo that, that, like Liam, I, I have to give full credit to Liam for this Badoo idea because I, I, I was a little skeptical, but Liam just like played me a couple times with the Badoo in the deck and like he was, he was super sure that that was the best answer to go dango. And like, I was like, I was like kind of on the fence about it. I was like, maybe if I manage my energies perfectly, I can win. It's so hard if the flu even hits like one gimme go, it already like, feels like really hard. As long as the charm isn't prized, that's like the key thing you can't prize. I'd say like also pricing Thornton makes it really hard to spam it. Like pricing stretcher is like annoying, but if you prize Thornton and like you can't pad for Purdue again anymore, that's like, that makes it really hard as well to actually finish the game. Because you can never drop the bedu lock once you like start the bedu lock. Yeah, perfect. You give so many prizes up, like you can never drop it. If you ever drop it for even turn you lose. The thing is like you get so much time in the match. Right, because like even if they have the energy and deck, it's really hard for them to access it. Like they have to essentially have like a raw ciphers. Right? So a lot of, yeah, exactly. Like they just miss an attack and then you like get to set up everything in your hand. Right? Exactly. A lot of the middle bad Dees don't have a charm in them. They miss a turn and yous lean and if you hit one heads and you get the charm back, like they're two energy stress that you might not need a charm ever again. It's also important that matchup, like we'll talk more like, because I did play against two Tangos and maybe I can tell you guys more about the matchup, but like, not, not you guys obviously like, like audience, like I, but like I would say like I dunno how I clarified anyways. I'll say that. Like if you don't charm your lux, right, it's huge bait because if you get your charmed back, I think the matchup gets way too hard. Like I know it like sounds nice to like tax an extra energy, but like literally I think you should only charm when you announcing itchy pollen for turn. Oh, or else it's better to tax the poor is what you're saying. Like after they have less energies, that's when you want to tax them. No, no, no. It's not about that. It's literally about never letting your charm get backed so you can like at least cycle it once or twice. Okay. Okay. Okay. I see. Um, no chest. Okay, so yeah, that was EIC pretty lit. Well, not really. It's actually terrible. Um, and then it was like two weeks till Vancouver, as Lamb knows I was kind of retired because I was not going to Vancouver and had other shit going on. Hmm. What do you mean, kind? Yeah. Henry has this thing where if he has an event in the, in the format, he just like, pretty much like disappears from the group chats and just like can't be found completely untrue, but it's all good. That's like, actually that was like, that was a lie. No, no, no. He's actually like very present in the group chat, but he's just like literally saying he just won't play the game. Like Yeah. He just says random things and like just won't like play. Yeah. I become a full-time rage major. It's pretty, well actually, no, I will give Henry credit. He like decided like, he felt like bad for me that he, like he won San Antonio and I got 147, so he decided to like donate$50 to me. By playing like a, he thought his spear tune, BDU Godless was actually had any chance for his pitch on my tic. That was the best of seven and it was 4.0 Okay. Appreciate the physiology, honestly. Yeah, I like, well I was playing sort of that, but also I realized that this Badoo is like kind ba I shouldn't be using that guy. Not just that the Evo card is like, like the Evo card was like, am I gonna get credit for that now that you know, you're like speaking publicly. Okay, I sure I'm down. I mean, I'll say this like, like we were sitting on a call and I was like, I was like, I think we need pitch Yoda. Like this PDU card is too good. Like we cannot have it that if they bedu we, we have to break item lock to vault. Like we have to have some out. Right? And so I said, but pitch Yoda and like maybe in the same breath Henry said like, oh Evo. And then like, you know, I mean obviously I thought PTO was be paired with Evo, but like, okay. Completely 50 50. Shout to Henry. 50 50, shout to Henry. Controlling what the, all good. It's all good. It's all good. Yeah. I'll take credit for pushing. I have like no recollection of like any of these events. But this is like definitely the narrative that a Obama is pushing. Yeah. I mean, it's all, it's all, I'll just take credit. Okay. Henry, can we agree that the story, even if it's like, there's like, like some, uh, spewing from of me, like at least the events I said are true. Like I did say pto, you said Evo, and then like that's the true part. Yeah, that's the true part. Yes. Everything called made no sense, but that part, how can that dude pitch? OTO is a stage one and like most people play P oto when they use Elu TM evolution. Is that correct? Like, like does, can the court agree on this at least, or. Like, I don't know, Vicky, you're like playing a super heavy I Alyssa this way. You were on like three Iita or some shit, right? No, no, I was never on three, I, it was two Iita, three Arvin, which is what I ended up playing. Okay, okay. Okay. Well anyway, I'll, I'll be taking like probably like 70% of the credit, but it's all good. No, I, there's, it's actually outrageous for you to think that you deserve any more than like at the very most, like 40% most. And, and that's like, that's a generous offer. Like you can take your 40% and leave or like we can like argue and go to small claims court and maybe it'll come down to 30%. Who knows? Firstly, I think the seventh Amendment says that we'll not be able to, from my American history, you's gonna say that we'll not be making the small claims court. Um, okay, so is there anything, okay, fine. But anyways, like after the 70 30 idea that me and Henry came off with, the deck just felt so broken. Like it doesn't, like, yeah, it like sets up way more like the evil more. This deck is like clearly terrible still, but let's go through a bonds bank run. Okay, sure. I, okay. Like the deck is like not very good. It's obviously not terrible. Like how can you even say that with a straight face? Like, I mean, like we top four, you know, like just because you got top eight doesn't mean your deck isn't terrible. Like, I agree with No, no, no. I'm not saying it based on the, the fact that like I top a, like top a top four, like based on results, I think How can you think this deck is terrible? Just because like, Henry's contention is the pul nor matchup is like, well, like unsaved. Like if your goal is to win the tournament, you probably shouldn't play the page on deck. Um, that's ridiculous. That's actually a ridiculous statement. If your goal is to win the tournament, you definitely shouldn't play the guard war deck because your name's not Henry Chow. So like, don't pick that up if you're not Henry's literally look through like, this is ridiculous. Like, dude, dude, oh my God, Henry, you dude, like literally look through the results. Like Henry has plenty of disciples. He like released the meta my class for like every deck he ever made. Like he's like a complete shill and like no one has. And this was a two bo, like this was Drake's, like two boss list. So at the time it was working good. Like we like tested the matchup a lot more after the event and like that shit is happen, happen. So round one, I think I saw Cha on, he was actually playing the Brent Toon list. He was Australian. And game one I did, I didn't see prime catcher until game three. So game one, he didn't, um, like he just didn't use Prime Catcher, but I just like, my board was like bad and he just like ran me over. I just drew pound of bad game two. I was like getting extremely lucky with the flute. I flew out like so many. Good, well, he donated squawk of his own volition. And then I fluted gr Ninja Fez and a second, and, and the yaga after he bega also on his own volition. But this was not like one flute, this was three flutes that I got this, I think each went one. He, he had one arch. He had one arch, one Swee donated, one Fez and Greninja and a diala that I put down. Yeah. And then yeah, a diala that he put down. I guess he did. No, no, no, no. I, I must be wrong with Daga. I think the Diala was also voluntary and I only had one Diala and there was a second Ella on. Regardless. That's enough to win. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So anyways, that was enough to win game two and then game three didn't have that much time, we gentleman, and we got to a weird spot. But anyways, it ended, I ended up getting the gentleman Sure. And then you on two playing with Kango. He, um, he was playing a one one our child online in it, which was really funny because he ultra balled away the, um, wait, the, our child on really early, one of them way. Yeah, I don't know. But he'll ultra the waydon and then assuming he could stretch it later. And then when I got into the Badoo, I had a charm and it was, it was really funny. He put 30 with the hammer in and then he jammy towered, and I promoted lax. And he just like, he went crazy. He like had an energy already on his tango. He retreated and used three more energies to kill LAX as well, while he was like itchy, pulling that turn right. And I just like set up another, he like, he attached an hammering. He had an energy on the active, oh, I guess he, he active, maybe he didn't retreat. Mm. Oh, yes. He retreated before the jammy tower was played. Yes, you're right. Henry got, I got, yeah. And I was like, I just couldn't stop laughing. I was just like, he just killed three en, he like killed my lives with three energies and I passed the Turo melodic this game. So I did have some annoyances dealing with tarots, or maybe he turro into the arch. The, the golden. The thing, don't, the tur are just plus one energy. They don't really matter that much. Or sometimes plus two energy. Yeah, I know. But yeah. And, and you're not allowed to go for the other strats, right? Like when, when you have Turo, you can't, that's why you're never. Well, I don't know because game one, I saw his entire deck because he played till deco or played till within three cards of deco, I think. And I flew, I, I always, when I go to win no matter what, and their deck is sub five cards, I'm picking my cards up. He played the flute 13, not letting you see everything. Yes, yes, I know. But he did not do that. So I got to flute, see the last five he, he got down the two prize cards and I'd ic to him like I turned before, so there were only like five mystery cards. So I just like knew there was no hard switch in his dad. Yeah. Or, or like any tricks to be word out whatsoever. Yeah, and I saw like his energy count too. So I knew that he couldn't attack with Greninja. This actually came up again against my other Guango opponent. I knew he couldn't attack with Gr Ninja. So game two, I just like, uh, he benched gr Ninja on his own and I had the Turmo Myotic and he like picked up and read it, which is a great sign. And then I CC and a water pound the Greninja and he scooped instantly. So. Well, I mean, it seems like in this spot, if he had a switch, that probably would've even mattered. Yeah, it wouldn't have mattered, but it's like, it's extra assurance. Like the five MR. Cards would just be like four switches for me to lose, like. But anyways, so I beat that guy. Then round three I had a tragedy. I played against LAX in game one. I, I saw temples early on, so I thought there must be a geo, geo como to follow with this. And like I think if they don't have geo como, the S tier line is just like pig evolve nothing and just a hundred even into fans and just like Penny as like never bench anything on your own. Just like have a pig up penny everything else when they flute or Erica's or whatever, it's fine. Penny again. And then when they start like fanning your en your energies onto the basics, you just penny those and like, yeah. And just a hundred them to death. And win the game that way. And I especially need to go for the strategy because I prized io so every card I was drawing was like forever drawn unless I pow like the only thing I could do to make my deck bigger is Pal pad. So anyways, I was, I went for the strategy where I bedu him and never dropped the Badoo lock, but I ended up losing a deck out war where I had two Lene, two pad, and he had two Lene, one Yel cheer. And I just lost like my, I like lost like, uh, like six or I believe like, like six flips in a row is like the, the final breaking point. But I'd already like been going a little negative to get to The six flips in a rows when I broke, but I think I was going a little negative to even get there. Right. So it's okay. I mean, I like, I was really tilted, but game two I realized there was no Jocko.'cause I saw his entire deck except his six prize cards, which I believe he like showed to me too, just like for no reason after game one. So I just like instantly went from my page out a hundred strategy and I got the game, uh, with one minute left in, uh, in before time and he just, we just didn't play game three. So we, I tied, I was extremely frustrated after I tied, but this was not the most frustrating I would be all day actually. So and like, that's kind of crazy because when I tied this lax, which is like supposed to be like in 90 10, I was, I thought like this is like peak frustration. Anyways, the next round, I think it's Ethan y. He's like a really nice guy. He plays Pig out normally, but he, we were actually chatting'cause we've talked about Pig Out before and we were chatting and he said like he couldn't make it work for this event. And then I played, I played him and like I evo him and he thought it was pretty cool and like, I don't know, he was like obviously tilted that he just like lost the, he lost both games mention, really mention anything. The Guidewire stack and you're sort of Rock Oh, sorry. In the face. Yeah. I he playing Guard Devore in game one. He tried the Clef Me, which I was really surprised and I thought like most pigon enjoyers don't like try to clef because the clef is so bad. It solves like any monkey dory tricks like. You can't even win the game with cl key. Like you have to retreat and like, even if they're bricked and you retreat and like, they can start roading again. Like, well dude, if you don't compare to him, I don't know, like I'm kind of down to just free roll with cl you know? I don't even like, dude, if it's not even a free roll, that's the point. It doesn't work. It like almost never works. Anyways, he cl he me, I just like had like, I literally like when the clef and there's no pressure, I like just was able to nest ball for pitchy and then like, I next friend I like had lux right in hand. I had Rod him on the bench too and my hand already had the Arvin for next turn and like he like, it's really awkward, right?'cause the art, the rodos on the bench, like whatcha gonna do like the Arvin is known. So do you io to stop the Seal Stone or Pope Seal Stone's prize? Maybe. Or like, do you like io Just express prize. Sometimes you've done to me as like you have the Arvin turn won and then you just like get both the steel stone and the Evo in play and the game is like literally over. Right? I think thing like why is like so improbable it almost never happens is'cause the pitch deck has to start with the energy, which is like an egregious high rule. But sometimes it happens. I like, I don't know how he like, didn't have laud to play, so I, I ended up guessing I was bonnet and punching it with Piot to discard the stadium and put his bonnet at a hundred. And then later in the game, I, when he like tried to go back into Bedou while I already had pigott out, I water upon his bonnet and his badu to take two prize cards and he was only at five. He, like Badu killed my, um, pig to start the game. So I was just like, I was up four or five and I was purely just winning prize trade. You won a prize trade? Yeah, there was like actually nothing he could do. It was pretty funny or I thought it was pretty funny. Yeah, I mean they, the part of the Right, that's an exact a prize trade by the pig Yex. So he at first offered to send me there, but I, I thought about it and I was like, this is gonna be such a nightmare. I'm gonna be like going through their Airbnb, like trying to, he's like, I can direct you through my room. It's a little messy. He has like the deck in one of these. I was like, and he doesn't even have all the cards. It's not like he has my exact 60. Yeah. It's like even after I come back, I'd have to fix like 10 cars or something. But the, the kale that ensued trying to get this melodic was actually like, that took the most time at the, these guys were like, they had me set, they built my deck in like 15, 20 minutes, right? So I had 59 cards, and then I won like a pack of end games off ki and trivia that I used to sleeve my deck. Like, it was so lit. And then I was just like, okay, melodic. Like I knew my ju the judges can't like proxy a full deck. That's like awfully ridiculous, right? But I figured like one card, like this melodic TWM, like, please, like the vendors don't have it. No one has it. Please just like, like, you know, gimme a pass. You know? No can do. I even knew like the t like TG leader or whatever, and she's like, well, like I, I like, I'm sorry, like, I just can't like, make exceptions like this. Like if you can't produce a card that's damaged, you can't get a judge proxy. So I was like, okay. Like I was saying to myself though, like, what's the difference between like, if I just burned a card, faceless or whatever, it's just like a blank card. Like, and I'm like, this was my melodic, it got burned in like a fire. Can I get like a drudge proxy? Like how is that any different than me? Like I need one card. Like my deck literally got like I was stolen or I lost it or something. Like, please like help me out. Actually, this was like, somehow, I think this was more frustrating than when I lost my deck. Genuinely, my opponent turned one of game one he uses, but he, he uses trolley and doesn't venture Oppa Ghost or a Badu. His board is just completely locked. But like, he, he's like, the game is like taking forever because he is like not making any actions, but like it's taking forever, like. Because he's like poisoning stuff and like all like, and he has the baby Peck ran. So he is like killing stuff at first. And then I get into this nice board that I've tried in on ladder when I've like put people in spots like this where I had two pitch yachts and I was just like retreating between them and like bossing to stop him from like poison killing himself. He had lads in place so he could have like at any point stopped this like shenanigans by like just retreating and like keep trying to kill something. And then eventually he like almost killed he, he killed his baby pacran. But I made sure it happened into my turn and I had two flutes and Selene prepped to like get a non-op on the bench, non-op, non-bio. And I got something random and we still played for about 30 minutes. And I was, I was like, chilling.'cause I thought that like at some point I'm gonna cirrhotic him and like I'm gonna win. But at 30 minutes he just like randomly snapped and just realized like, oh wait, I'm not gonna win ever like this. And he just scooped, which I was hoping that he would just sit in the game for like, like I was not gonna show the heroic until like it was much closer to the end. And then I was gonna like Win with like five minutes left. I hoped, but oh well, five minutes. That is, that is, uh, that's a little too much for the cloth tank Yeah. Yeah. But anyways, you sco and then 20 minutes left, you have this ridiculous game where the cool thing about Laufer's Pig is when you pigeon out kill the cloth, you bump their stadium and they die a poison. So you like, it's, it's like a, like a really strong line. You're getting rid of their energy, you're killing their cloth, you're bumping their stadium, and it's typically coupled with an Iona to four and it's like so natural to do. But Office Iona to four, Andy's used Seal Stone already for the record and no body would play nothing. His, his five cards are actually literally perfect. He ends the turn with zero cards in hand, but he kills my page with Tropicals. And then, but he doesn't get a lot. He doesn't play, so he has two prize cards and a top deck. Oh. And he has an extra mochi in hand from his orang group. Sure. Then I cc his bonnet. He has switch card. I was like, no big deal. We're, we're super close to time at this point because the game had been going on in like a weird circle before this. So we're super close to time. I cc his bonnet again, and I sile and I double tail so I don't get the secret box on top because if I get a secret box on top, I can definitely CC him again, and like, there's no way this game ends in time Anyways, I miss, he switch cards again, and then I lose the game, and so we tie, I'm 5 1 2. I'm, I'm very, very, very tilted at this point. Like, I'm like inconsolably tilted, but it turns out, you know, never give up. Never backed up. Yeah. Just I, I gave about a little bit of a motivational feature. He was like, He came in and he was like, begging for sympathy. Like, this is so bullshit. And I was like, dude, you gotta lock in. I like, I was able to wake up like this was, I was like, low, keep pushing it there. I was like, able to wake up just fine. And then once the event, like normal person had like, um, like drink of water in the morning, like I was chilling. I was, it was not like, it was not actually like a flu game type performance. I was, I was feeling okay. I was feeling fine. So anyways, I played, played against the Guard and um, game one was really free. He tried, the clra did not work. Game two, I flipped eight tails on Seline. I went like, my first pad was for like IO and like some other car that I thought was just good. And then my next, I like Lene, Seline failed, failed, padded, both salines. And so I was down to pad two saline and failed, failed. And so I eight tails, but I was actually impatient. I lowkey just forgot that it's possible for my seline to get eight tails in a row. Like that wasn't in my calculation. So like, if I just like waited a little longer, it would've been way more comfortable. It like after this, the eighth si a saline tail hit. I was like re abouting my position. I was like, wait. Okay. I still win as long as he only has one rod and he, he only had one rod. So iic at the right time I own and like he had a rod, but I won by two cards, so that was kind of scary for a bit. But you know, all this like bad variances, it's not really that relevant. Like my neck is just too good. Was that the one That's what we're taking away from this. Okay, sure. It's all good. It's all good. Oh yeah, You think? What the fuck? a Sarah lunch? Yeah. Okay. And then I went Bedu pass turn one and, or no, he had for whole first turn I went Bedu pass on my going second and he just target to kill me. So I lost him. One in two was playing. There's so many charades. Dude. The one that does 20 damage for one Energy, I believe he has 70 hp, but I don't really remember. Oh, in your, oh, he's actually rewarded bro. Because I feel like the, like I was talking to him with Zing God before he was about to play I promise you he could have found Ledge evolve like him, bro. I don't dunno. I guess. I guess I didn't even consider any of that because I saw the 20 started it active, had no basics and I instantly scooped because the game was on board. So anyways, game two, I'm like thinking that this is gonna be so hard'cause I prized the big myotic, the myotic that stop Terrace from attacking it. He had Paul, he as an out, but I like, I was so concerned about what was gonna happen, but I just doubled down. He put spirit to him. By the way, I doubled down that like I'm not gonna try to like draw a prize card and like get big my loading like. Bad things will happen. There'll be too many guys on my board to Gus and like, I'm not gonna win that way. But I managed to like goad him into like, just keep killing my piggy with jet energies. Like, I was like, I sat there with my tur myotic and LA on a, on a tomb and this guy was like so impatient. Like didn't wait for a boss or anything. He just like jet energy. Greninja killed my piggy. And I was like, okay, this is this. That was terrible. But I was like, maybe I can get it to do it again. So like bossed and like, or CC'd I guess, and like best another pitchy and like healed and put a charm on my active, he like did it again. So he's taking, he's used two jets to take two prize cards, which is still fine. I, I somehow got him to like jet one more time. To not even kill a pitchy, just to kill a lax. Like, I, I don't even know, like if my opponent just like, stop. And like, and the best part was he was sitting next to me during my guardian opponent and he told me, he's like, I don't really know what you're playing, but you like, have someone on a saw block. I'm gonna be like, he said, he literally told me he's gonna be extra careful, you know? And like I was, we've been recently talking about like, if you lie to your opponent, like it's like you can get a penalty. And I was thinking like, you know, maybe you can get a penalty for this.'cause like he said he was gonna be extra careful and he was like extra, like risky. I don't even know. Like, he just completely used every jet for like, no reason. It was, it was a, it was a blessing, you know, like everything had to gone wrong for this point. And then when he used the third jet for no reason and took only one prize card, I was like, oh, I can just win this game pretty easily. And then I kind of got worried for a second that like, maybe I'm missing something, maybe like a hard switch on top of this. Like that's why he did it. But no, there was, there was no reason playing catcher, he playing the blender or what? He was playing Blender. Yeah, that's correct. Because yeah, I know that I think people thought the Prime shit shirt was better, like when Winding and Co were playing it. Yeah. And then game three, like he knows what's gonna happen, but I, he, like, first I start Water pond, he, his hand is so unfortunate. He has, he has a be he bench to squawk and he jets into it and then squawks away another jet and he forgets to retreat or something. I, I don't know if he forgot or like, he didn't think it was good, but he didn't retreat. So I like had DT e in hand and I just like got a piggy and just sobbed. And then I, I like got, because you know, I just have like two supporters in your hand for some reason. Well he also Ben spare it too, so like Oh, I was just kidding. I was completely locked into this line anyways. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways. Yeah, you are correct. I did have Nest Ball Arvin and like an out to V or like two supporters and again, nest Ball two supporters. And he, he is feeling really good about that'cause he just won be very fast. So then like when we got down to a game three, he was out of jet energies and out of outs and he's only out was the boss by Melo twice. And hope I didn't have outs. So I just showed him that I had two water energies, a switch cart and a stretcher and the missed energy. And then he was like, oh, okay, well that's five retreating outs and a pitch IX so this was never gonna work. And then he skipped it up. So I like I have a lot of respect because like against you can just decide like at any point, not to just tie, but obviously he's hoping that like if he got to spot where he was winning to look enough jets left that like he, I was gonna scoop and like that's obviously the case. So like it's not just a free roll. Like he had some like, uh, he obviously has some compensation, but I don't know. Anyways, appreciate him scooping next game I play this a guard and I got rolled game one. I dunno how this one? No, no, I got rolled game one. Oh, surprised. Oh wow. So this is why like, it was like a lost one win, but it was no gens because the first two games took like eight minutes to pop or something. Like, there was like so much time. We got, got deck checked and he was actually super chill. We were like playing a fun game. I, I had my like friends, like pul our deck that I used to like dismantle some of it, build my deck again. And we were just like playing a game where we'd like take, each person would take half the deck and we were like drawing, opening hands. So we saw like unfair stamp, but then we like, we like kept adding more rules. Like if someone had unfair stamp and the other person had like Zd Pul, that that was a win. But if someone had all three fires and the unfair stamp that could count, like it was just a, it was like a fun game. I don't know. I actually took like, kind of long, so it was pretty chill. I, I thought it was a fun game. Anyways, game three, he actually makes a huge mistake. He, um, he. He has the vacuum to charm to get rid of the charm, clef key or whatever, to k like I was locking clef key and he killed it. Um, he didn't put the clef down voluntarily. I had flu. And then he, um, he didn't use this opportunity to fix, he had, he like took a prize early with drifting, but he didn't use this opportunity like fix his energies at all. What he should have done was like, probably promote the drifting retreat into scream tail and kill my myotic and hope for no Turo after io me to fight, or sorry, not like hope for no like reset of melodic so he could Turo. So like he could io me, but he didn't do that. He just like already killed my water pond. So Mylo, I didn't play it. And I just like gusted again and I won. Uh, so that was pretty chill. And then the last round I played about that. Yeah, pretty bad spot, right? Because. And stretcher right off five and like, like obviously you have the pitch out to fill it, but like the chance of fitting the two is really unlikely. Secret box was in my deck, bro, but Oh, secret box deck, right. Oh, oh, oh, okay. Well, but I did make a mistake, Henry, you I was kind of messed up my, my as I lean and I didn't shuffle my deck that turn, which was really bad. So I let the secret box get into my hand, which was bad. Oh, I am, okay. Yeah, I see. Yeah, that's what I should have done was after I made that mistake, I should have instantly IOed to like fix my deck, like io then shuffle my deck. And so my deck is like, has, I had so many good cards in my hand, it was ridiculous. Like obviously io I actually drew like five terrible cards. You actually probably would've got you if you'd made the right player, right? Because that's like a lot of pressure. Oh, well you have to find a, you has to find Turo and I, I bench fez early, so. I would have been, we would've had a game. I would've basically probably piggy out a secret box and then fest and like, but yes, I like ruined my outs by like doing it like the way I did. So this bravery, charm, charm thing, like yeah, this, this lost vacuum charm thing is, uh, pretty good. I think it makes a match. I think if he did a bunch of other things right, he could have made the game very interesting. But obviously free removal no matter what. And also donating like that. That's pretty good. Yeah, he like, so then the next, he said he played two charm, right? Like two charms back flight. He played two charm in the back. He favorite? Yeah. I don't think it's favorite. Anyways, yeah, the next round of playing has a pull, uh, in game one I prized my four seal stone. So after like I had this like really nice secret box turn, but the problem was I could, like, I could evo into PTO there, which I did end up doing, but I had to put IO in my hand instead of Arvin for the seal stone. So I literally just had to draw PTO off io plus like, one is the charge before, like my board got destroyed. Um, yeah, we're playing was obviously gonna be me. Clearly not very reasonable, right? Yeah. So, yeah, I know, I know. But like that, that was, that was actually that turn took me forever. I would say that was probably my longest turn of the tournament.'cause I, like, I was looking at my hand, uh, I was my like second I guess. Yeah, I was my second. I was looking at my hand and I like had a clear plan during this entire turn of like what I was gonna do and I was gonna set myself up so perfectly. Like my, like I was gonna big my load, I was gonna evo and then have seal stone. I was basically gonna do the guard track because like his turn was kind of weak. And like, when that, when I realized Seal stone wasn't in deck, like it, like I had so many new plans going through my mind that it just like took me forever, like to do, but there, get to the pitch reliably, right. Definitely not. There was no way to like guarantee anything that I, I guess like IO or like Yeah, exactly. So anyways, I lost that game and then game two, I hit him with the Badoo, uh, nose osa because I didn't prize it, but Badoo set on my water pond, kill both dust goals. And then I had a really nice spot where later he had used one dust winner for something, and then I punched his, uh, pulp and he left it active even though he woke up and I just retreated into Bair to go down to one prize. And it was like, pretty much Check man, pitch you out. I went to one prize and yeah, he had like a duster on the bench and like a, yeah, and a dust bowl as well. So like, but I don't know, he like kind of, he, I think he could have done more stuff to like dust nor io or something, but yeah, I don't think he expected the bear. Anyways, game three, my pun was super down to gentleman's, which I have a lot of respect for, because at that time actually, like, I think a tie would've been one K each. But he was like, he had the right mindset. Like, you know, this is a, this is a pretty reasonable matchup. And like, uh, let's try to cut, right? Like. Let's, let's gentlemen and I, I, I think the out like of course, like if we, if we can't agree who's favorite, then we'll just tie.'cause like we'll both make one k like fine. Sure. But luckily he didn't leave it very ambiguous. He lumi for IO to like try to disrupt me and then he had used his Turo for like, Alex exam at one point just to like keep putting the pressure on. So when I CC Water Pond, his Lumi, there were no TURs deck. And so, and his dust north line was too thin at that point. Like he played a three two or 3 1 2, the standard and two candies. But he had like gone through too much stuff to like have any wind threats. So he was very gracious and like he did concede. It was funny. I would, I had like a 20 card hand when I CC'd water upon him, but I Iona just to like limit his options just so that like our discussion would be easier in our gentleman's because his hand was like bricked off the Iona. Well, I mean, it should be brick, right? It's like three cards plus one track look. So yeah, I thought, yeah, literal from a trap, like Yeah. Yeah. But I, it was just so that like his hand wasn't too big so that he couldn't like, cope too hard. Yeah. I don't know. I think it was like a good tech. I like added that to my back immediately. Uh, I played against, so I'm an Asim now. Pretty, pretty high playing against Lucia. Uh, I mean, last time I was in cut with I lost with Lucia, so I was a little nervous about that, but, and I had no information on his deck. He was like kind of some, like every other person in cut. I knew their deck pretty well, but Joe Filiana, like no one knew anything, right? All we knew was playing Lucia. It turned out his list is like even worse than, like, I could've even like imagined it didn't have water pond. It doesn't have weird ear, and it only has a one, one cina. So it's like, look at this. What's he playing? He has like, rads are luminous. It's like one of his things. He has bundle, but uh, his neck is just genuinely terrible. So he just, um, game one, I also, he like doesn't really understand that you're like. You need to be like preloading with arch ops, even though there's Giacomo because like your arch ops are gonna die. He like never really preloaded game one. And so I just like, he like went to four and then at some point he killed my Badu. So he went to three, or maybe this was not the game. Maybe game three is the one he killed Badoo. But anyways, he goes to four. I attached my bear and just like chill. He doesn't do anything for a turn. I think I like CCed his archos and just chilled and he doesn't do anything. I just like instantly DT Penny kill the archos. He doesn't preload anything. So his board literally has like one Lucia and like one archos with four energies and it's so easy. It's like penny cc Gigi from there. Um, he hits some bosses to make it close though. He like boss killed my couldn't pick it up in time. And then he did hit the first boss on my p on, but, so I guess there was like a, there was a window where he could have water upon me, but now knowing what I know, he actually does not play water pond. So I was chilling. So anyways, game one. That's game one. And then game two. Uh, similar, similar things happen, but I mess up. I think at some point I like allow a bundle to hit my pitch out when I could have like benched a blocks or something. Uh, like, I don't know, I just, like, I thought I was like super winning either way. So I thought, like, leave my board limited.
